Long Term Care Association Outraged Over New Rules; Considering Lawsuit.

RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The North Carolina Association, Long Term Care Facilities, whose members care for thousands of elderly and disabled residents, has expressed outrage over the way new rules and regulations affecting them were adopted.

Moreover, Executive Director Lou Wilson said Tuesday that the Association is considering filing a lawsuit to force the State to pay for the additional staffing, training and other requirements imposed by the new rules.

The lawsuit would be a first by the Association against a State agency in the nearly half century that adult care homes have operated in North Carolina.
