IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1999--

Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. (TAEC) Tuesday announced that Toshiba Corporation has added two new derivatives to its line of Neuron(R) Chips for control networks based on the EIA-709.1 control networking standard. The new Neuron Chips, designated TMPN3120A20U and TMPN3120FE5M, feature additional functionality, compared to the previous 3120(R) class Neuron devices.

The TMPN3120A20U provides the same features as the previously released TMPN3120A20M, but in a smaller package for applications with board size limitations. The new device is packaged in a 44-pin QFP package, measuring 10mm x 10mm, ...
