There are some antennas that would be very difficult to hide. There are other antennas that have yielded to the magic of the electromagneticist and appear to be almost invisible. This is the story of some of these interesting antennas.
THE HIGHLY VISIBLE
In some applications, there is no need nor any convenient way to hide the antennas: take antennas of the AN/FPS-118 over-the-horizon backscatter radar, for instance. This bistatic, early-warning radar, built by General Electric Company, uses an array of transmit antennas, each 3,630 ft. long and 35-135 ft. high.
