DALLAS - Can Pat Buchanan help the Reform Party gain ballot access throughout the country?
That was the big question after Mr. Buchanan's meeting here last week with Russell Verney, the party's outgoing chairman.
Mr. Verney told Mr. Buchanan that if he becomes a candidate, he must work hard to gain ballot access in 29 states and the District where the party is not granted automatic access.
And he would be responsible for raising his own campaign money.
