Oct. 7 -- Bon Secours is another step closer to moving Stuart Circle Hospital to western Chesterfield County.
After an almost three-hour meeting yesterday, the board of directors of the Central Virginia Health Planning Agency voted 12-7 to recommend the move if certain conditions are met, including a pledge to devote 3 percent of the proposed hospital's gross annual patient revenue to charity care.
If the state health commissioner follows the recommendation, the nonprofit Bon Secours Richmond Health System will build a 130-bed acute care hospital, called St. Francis Medical Center, in the CenterPointe office ...
