Oct. 14 -- WASHINGTON -- Guiding the future of America's small towns and farms is the goal of the new Center for the Study of Rural America, established in Kansas City by the Federal Reserve, officials said Wednesday.
The center will conduct extensive research on rural economies that will be used to shape public policy, Mark Drabenstott, the center's vice president and director, told reporters in announcing details about the center.
