In the new year, why not experiment with new foods, like quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah)? Grown in the mountains of South America, quinoa is sometimes known as the "super grain of the future" because it contains all eight essential amino acids, a claim that no other grain can make. It also cooks in half the time of rice. You can find quinoa in health-food stores or in large supermarkets in the rice section.
