Four people were killed when flames broke out yesterday in two apartments of a Manhattan high-rise that also houses the family of "Home Alone" star Macaulay Culkin.
The dead, two men and two women, were found on the 27th and 29th floors, according to Fire Commissioner Thomas Von Essen. Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said the victims were found in the halls, adding: "If people had stayed in their apartments, we might have come away without serious injuries."
A publicist for the Culkin family said all family members were safe. Their apartments, on the 19th floor, were listed in 1997 court papers as the family's residenceduring the parents' breakup, and neighbors ...
