The green leaves and bright red berries of evergreen hollies have long been associated with the holidays. Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston will celebrate this connection with a month of "Holly Days" beginning Thursday.
The Tower Hill visitor center, which is holding lectures, demonstrations and musical entertainment, will be decked out in swags, wreaths and garlands, all made of holly. But the place to see holly in its natural element is in Tower Hill's Lawn Garden, a landscape known for featuring plants that thrive locally.
