Does your head swim when it comes to identifying seaweed? Those who wish to know more about plants that grow wild in the sea can join an indoor workshop on the topic or get their feet wet combing the shore for specimens Saturday during the Cape Cod Natural History Weekend offered by the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
Massachusetts Audubon Society coastal ecologist Robert Buchsbaum will lead a workshop in "Seaweed Basics" at 9 a.m. at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Eastham. Buchsbaum will display freshly collected specimens and show slides demonstrating the great variety of seaweeds that cling to our shores.
