Pop is pop and country is country and the Twain met last night in an epic spectacle at Great Woods.
In her first major North American tour, multiplatinum Canadian country-pop star Shania Twain put on a performance overflowing with candy for the eyes and ears.
From the little fluffy pyros in the opener "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" to the closing explosions of "Rock This Country," Twain packed in more than 20 of her hooky tunes. Aided by an always dancing and Stepford-grinning nine-piece band _ and at points the Mansfield High School Choir and Drum Corps, a contest winner and the opening step-dance/fiddle family Leahy - Twain left no base uncovered.
