Illegal aliens mopped the floors at Massachusetts Bay Community College because the college hired a cheap out-of-state contractor that used phony names and bogus Social Security numbers, state Auditor Joseph DeNucci announced.
And the president of the Wellesley-based community college rented Lincoln Continentals and dined lavishly on the college's tab, while he and his top staff apparently overbilled more than $100,000, the auditor said.
After finding the college was in violation of a number of laws and state regulations, DeNucci has referred his findings to the state Attorney General's office, the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service and others. ...
