Apparently, Robert Redford liked "The Bridges of Madison County" so much he decided to make it again. "The Horse Whisperer," which Redford directed, is so reminiscent of the 1995 film adaptation of Robert James Waller's best-selling novel, it might be called "The Stables of Madison County."
The film resembles not the estimable works previously directed by Redford ("A River Runs Through It," "Quiz Show," etc.), but one of those old-fashioned Hollywood romances the actor has made with director Sydney Pollack ("Out of Africa," et al). Based on the ...
