Joanne and Dominic Rozzi have staked a claim in Eden. Or as close to Eden as you'll find in East Boston.
The Rozzis, residents of the neighborhood for more than 50 years, have settled in at a picnic table in Piers Park, the 3-year-old waterfront park on Marginal Street that has revitalized a once-decrepit shoreline.
With all of Boston Harbor before them and grass as thick as a '70s shag rug beneath them, the Rozzis pass a lazy Sunday afternoon. They say they've come for the weekly concert, but they're a couple of hours early.
"We come for peace of mind," says Joanne. "This is our Garden of Eden," Dominic adds.
