One of New England broadcasting's deep enigmas, 44-year-old Mike Adams, finds himself at a career crossroads as he observes his sixth anniversary on New England Cable News' "SportsWorld" tomorrow night by saying goodbye.
The show at 11 p.m. should be a madcap affair with rock 'n' roll bands and regular guests returning for one last pop. Adams says Bill Lee may drive up from Florida to mix with a streaker.
Ask Adams why he's leaving with such a talent, such a loyal following and no apparent regular gig in sight - even after three months' notice - and that's where the enigma comes in.
