Regarding "Syndex rules help Boston stations stay in the black" (Feb. 16):
I understand syndication exclusivity (syndex). I do not agree with it. I pay for cable so that I can have a choice of what station I watch and when I want to watch it.
If the local stations would actually play the show they claim exclusive syndication rights to, at the time they are supposed to play it, more people would watch the local Boston station instead of trying to watch the show on another station. It's the law of supply and demand.
If local stations want to play football or some other game and make a decision to preempt or postpone the scheduled show, someone ...
