World Music announces fall performance lineup
"Umabatha: The Zulu Macbeth," a theatrical performance of Zulu dance, music and song that recently debuted in New York, arrives in Boston Oct. 30 as part of the World Music fall season, which was announced yesterday.
The World Music lineup also features a number of return performances, including Wassoulou singer Oumou Sangare and Cape Verdean star Cesaria Evora, as well as the intriguing pairing of the Bulgarian Women's Choir and the Throat Singers of Tuva.
"Umabatha" features a cast of 42 drummers, singers, dancers and actors and will be performed Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at the Shubert ...
