July in Jordan Brahms centennial concert at Jordan Hall, Boston, Tuesday.
The New England Conservatory opened its July in Jordan music series Tuesday night with a program honoring the Brahms centennial. The players were a mix of conservatory students past and present as well as current faculty and outside friends. Although this was ostensibly a program of chamber music and therefore a collaboration of equals, the most equal were clarinetist Richard Stoltzman and pianist Christopher O'Riley, both players with formidable solo careers as well as extensive chamber music experience.
