A new day dawned yesterday on television. The first day of the 1997-98 TV season. The first day after the Diana deluge.
Technically, the new TV season starts on Sept. 22. However, local stations began unveiling their new syndicated series. A new anchor joined ABC's "Good Morning America." And a new spirit pervaded the news channels as Princess Diana death coverage gasped its last bit of prominence.
