WFXT-TV wants advertisers to pony up $65,000 for a 30-second spot aired locally during the Super Bowl, reportedly the highest price ever for local air time.
Fox 25 is also offering local advertisers Super Bowl packages that cost as much as $250,000, internal documents obtained by the Herald show. Fox officials could not be reached for comment last night.
The station has about 17 local spots available during the big game, said sources, which will allow the smaller advertisers to mingle with national behemoths like IBM and Coca-Cola.
The $65,000 rate is startling, especially when compared to the $30,000 cost for a 30-second spot on number-one ...
