Five teenage girls in a stolen Jeep led police on a wild chase through South Boston yesterday before smashing head-on into an oncoming car and damaging a pursuing cruiser as they fled in the wrong lane down Old Colony Avenue.
"When the girls got out of the car, they were all crying," said Boston Police spokesman Kevin Jones. "They said they told the driver to pull over and let them out. They said, 'You're going to kill us. Let us out. Stop.' But she wouldn't. Then they had the accident."
