There's only one problem with being a role model: You gotta play the role.

It's doubtful Mo Vaughn was in a position to appreciate this as he crawled out the window of his mangled pickup on I-95 in the wee hours of Friday morning. Maybe he came to understand it a few hours later as he pleaded not guilty to drunken driving in Dedham District Court.

On the bright side of Mo's mess, at least he didn't hurl himself off the stage of the Foxy Lady to land on some poor patron's head, like that other big, dumb "role model" who's gone back to Walla Walla is alleged to have done.

All that can be said for Drew Bledsoe is that he was cute enough to hire ...
