The hydrogen peroxide industry in China has been growing at an astonishing rate in the recent 10 years. According to statistics of the state, the capacity was 370.000 t/a and the output was 336.800 tons in 1997. The average annual growth rate from 1990 to 1997 was 12.5% for the capacity and 16.6% for the output. According to statistics of the coordination group, the actual capacity was 470.000 t/a at the end of 1997. Based on the analysis of the data available, the newly-added capacity was around 80.000 t/a in 1998 and will be around 220.000 t/a in 1999.
