FORT SNELLING, Minn., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is coordinating a research study to determine the success of stocking lake trout directly over traditional spawning reefs in Lake Michigan. The Service has been stocking lake trout over reefs since 1985.
Fishery staff from the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Michigan, Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians of Michigan, and Little River Band of Ottawa Indians of Michigan, the U.S. Geological Survey Great Lakes Science Center, and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources will assist Service fishery ...
