(CW HENDERSON PUBLISHER www.newsfile.com) -- Immunoblotting is a useful tool for diagnosing insect venom allergy and helping pinpoint specific immunotherapy.
K. Jung and colleagues from the Klinikum Erfurt GMBH, Germany, evaluated immunoblotting as a diagnostic tool in allergic patients. Their results were reported in the journal Allergologie ("Role of Immunoblotting for Diagnosis of Insect Venom Allergy," Allergologie, 1999;22:421-427).
