Joining Indena's line of plant-derived active principles is Zanthalene(R) 20% solution, a solution of the highly purified, concentrated fluid extract of the Chinese plant Zanthoxylum alatum Roxb.
Zanthalene(R) 20% solution is considered an "immediate soother" of the skin, having shown to decrease skin heat sensation in testing. It is being marketed for after-sun, after-epilation, after-peeling and shaving formulations and is particularly useful in sensitive-skin formulations.
