The House of Representatives yesterday impeached President Clinton for grand jury perjury and obstructing justice, and for the first time in 130 years asked the Senate to remove a president from office.

"Wherefore, William Jefferson Clinton, by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States," declared H.R. 611, the official impeachment resolution.
