Holy Cross (Soorp Khatch) Church, an outpost of ancient Armenian Christianity in Bethesda, yesterday celebrated a visit by its new bishop.
The High Mass was an occasion of joy, but memories of enduring faith and Armenian suffering were not far away. Armenians, preached to by apostles, formed the first national church in 301 A.D.
