Across this land, we celebrate Independence Day, marking our independence from the king of England. Since then, independence and freedom have become the twin gods of our society.
What do the advertisements on the Internet and television say to us? This is your chance to become independently wealthy. For some this independence may be good, but there is a down side to consider. Families break up as people declare their independence, one from the other. Churches split apart, seeking independence to focus somewhere else.
