DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings' quest continues tonight in Colorado.
The quest to win the Stanley Cup, hockey's holy grail, for the third consecutive season and to establish themselves as a dynasty takes the Red Wings to McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, where they will face the Avalanche in the Western Conference semifinals.
No team has won three in a row since the Edmonton Oilers won five titles in seven seasons in the 1980s, and no one would deny that the Wayne Gretzky-led squad holds claim to the dynasty mantle.
