The first book devoted specifically to the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal is not authored by a Beltway pundit, an eminent legal scholar or a famous investigative journalist, but by a pastor from Pickering, Ohio.
The Rev. Kenneth J. Brown had the idea for "Scandalgate: Exposing America's Moral Deficit Disorder" a week after the story of President Clinton's reported affair with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky first made headlines in January.
On Feb. 5, Mr. Brown pitched his proposal to Legacy Communications Group. On March 15, he delivered the finished manuscript of the 144-page book, which rolled off the presses July 1.
