When Kameece Bowman fell asleep on the school bus so many times that she had to be fitted for a special harness to keep her in the seat, her mother decided to seek a solution.
For nearly a year, the 11-year-old Oxon Hill girl has not been able to stay awake through the day.
"She is tired all the time," says her mother, Kim Bowman. "If we stop somewhere longer than five minutes, she is asleep - at the mall, at the gas station. She is only awake six or seven hours out of the whole day. I feel bad for her."
