NEW YORK - The ball will be coming from all angles, taking multiple dips and turns as well, when the San Diego Padres step into the batter's box for Game 2 of the World Series tonight. The Padres have never seen Yankees starter Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, who befuddled the Cleveland Indians for seven shutout innings in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series.
They may not have benefited even if they had. Hernandez regularly improvises his arm angles and pitch selections as his start progresses.
