The chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus and several other prominent black figures have asked the Clinton administration to review claims that a head wound resembling a gunshot wound was found on the corpse of Secretary of Commerce Ronald H. Brown after he died in a plane crash in Croatia.
Rep. Maxine Waters, California Democrat, asked President Clinton, Attorney General Janet Reno and Gen. Henry H. Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to evaluate published claims oftwo military pathologists "that a wound to the secretary's head may have been caused by a gunshot."
