DETROIT - The beefy guy behind the wood-veneer desk who wants to be president of the Teamsters union has just one small problem: His name is Jimmy Hoffa.
James Philip Hoffa, to be precise, but "Jimmy" is the moniker stitched over his heart on the letterman-style jacket with brown suede sleeves that he likes to wear to fund-raisers.
Jimmy, of course, was also the preferred handle of his father, James Riddle Hoffa, who disappeared 22 years ago in a presumed mob hit that helped make him the most famous - and infamous - Teamster of them all.
With that kind of baggage, one might think the younger Mr. Hoffa would prefer to call himself James or ...
