TOKYO - North Korean commandos kidnapped two South Korean farmers yesterday in potentially one of the most serious violations of the Korean War armistice in years.
Yesterday, a team of 12 North Korean soldiers seized the farmers shortly before noon and crossed back into North Korea with no shots being fired, the U.N. Command said.
Officials of the command, which administers the area where the abductions took place, met with North Korean army representatives shortly after the incident.
