BALTIMORE - London's Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum, founded in 1852 and named after the two monarchs who brought the museum into being, houses 4 million artworks spanning five centuries and covers more than seven square miles.
It's the world's largest decorative arts museum and contains objects as varied as a delicately delineated Leonardo da Vinci notebook, a large red lacquer Chinese throne and a pair of bright blue "mock-croc" platform shoes.
