Jack Kent Cooke just wanted to build a new stadium. A final monument to his beloved Washington Redskins.
Cooke loved grand buildings. The famed Chrysler Building in New York was among his favorite possessions in a billion-dollar empire that stretched across North America in both his native Canada and his adopted United States. Building the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles that housed his Lakers and Kings was high on Cooke's long list of accomplishments.
