One of the country's most avant-garde museums, which includes erotic displays among its offerings, got the largest of 736 grants to be announced today by the National Endowment for the Arts.
The NEA, which has been under fire by conservative groups lately for funding several controversial artists, announces grant awards twice a year for everything from the Knoxville Symphony to the Dance Theatre of Harlem at Kennedy Center.
