Your Aug. 11 article "VOA recalls Phnom Penh correspondent after threats" contains a number of factual errors that I would like to correct.
For the record, the Voice of America (VOA) has not recalled any of its correspondents or contract reporters (stringers) from Phnom Penh. In recent weeks, our only staff correspondent in Southeast Asia, who is based in Bangkok, has made repeated trips to the Cambodian capital and has interviewed both Hun Sen and Prince Norodom Ranariddh.
VOA's stringers in Phnom Penh include Tricia Fitzgerald and Huw Watkin, who file for our newsroom, and Chun Sakada, who files for our Cambodian-language service. Since Miss ...
