NEW YORK - Cambodia's ousted prime minister, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, appealed to U.N. leaders for support yesterday against his rival Hun Sen, now in sole control of the country.
Also yesterday, the United States halted aid to Cambodia for 30 days to register its displeasure over Hun Sen's power grab.
Prince Ranariddh, who was in Paris when Cambodia's uneasy coalition government crumbled over the weekend, spent the day at the United Nations, urging diplomats and officials there to impose sanctions against Hun Sen's government and help him return to power.
