It is time that we stopped calling it terrorism and called the unending attack on civil society, on civilization, by its real name: guerrilla warfare.
The best definition of guerrilla warfare (a.k.a. terrorism) is by the French novelist, Lucien Bodard, a working correspondent in Communist China during the 1950s:
"Guerrilla warfare is not merely one aspect of the art of fighting. It is in the first place a pitiless logic - the logic of the utter want of compassion. It requires a total dehumanization; all civilized society's feelings vanish, individuals no longer exist."
