Some Mantua residents last night questioned a report by health experts who claim there were never any health risks from a 175,000-gallon underground fuel leak in the neighborhood in 1990.
But many of their questions went unanswered. More than a dozen people stormed out of the meeting after Fairfax County health officials, who allowed only written questions, cut off those who attempted to ask follow up questions or take issue with answers.
"We've got three lung doctors there inside the meeting who know what they're talking about," Deborah Kunin said after she walked out in disgust. "They are not even allowing them to debate any of these issues."
