Lt. Columbo picked up the scent and quickly moved to the victim's desk, where he eyed a tray containing a pale yellow wedge of cheese. "It's Reggiano - that cheese," Columbo exclaimed. "That's Italian. That, Sergeant, is the greatest! My father loved this Reggiano. Oh, we've got to have a taste of that."
After educating the sergeant on the glories of Parmigiano-Reggiano, Columbo proceeded to solve the case by identifying the murderer from a tooth mark on a bite of cheese found at the murder scene.
