The Washington Times presents some interesting figures about the Reagan years and supply-side economics in its Aug. 5 Page One article "Dole reverses stand, will call for tax cuts."
Instantly, when presidential candidate Bob Dole announced his 15 percent, across-the-board tax cut along with halving the capital-gains tax, Democrats and the liberal news media scoffed at his proposal, telling us that his newly found supply-side economics didn't work in the 1980s and couldn't work now.
