Too bad the makers of "Chain Reaction" dropped the earlier title of "Dead Drop," because that would have made it easier for critics like me to make puns on how soon this preposterous film might drop dead at the box office.
This summer certainly needs this movie like a hole in the head. An alarmist chase thriller that attracts breakdowns and laughable evasions like a magnet, it overrates the excitement that can be sustained while watching Keanu Reeves run, run, run from one wintry location to the next.
