Kobe Bryant requires clearance from the FAA before ascending to the basket.
He climbs to an altitude that few players ever reach. He could hand out peanuts and sodas on his journeys if he weren't otherwise engaged with the ball.
His hang time is serious, his mid-air inventiveness the same.
Bryant makes it up as he goes along. He gives you a feint, and then he is by you. Just ask Jeff Hornacek, a victim of one of Bryant's moves last week.
