Bob King has a formidable weapon in his political arsenal and he's not shy about brandishing it to remind D.C. elected officials exactly who put them in office.
He has a solid voting bloc of Fort Lincoln New Town residents, which he has been able to deliver to politicians courting their vote come election time.
Backed last week by more than 2,500 Fort Lincoln voters who vote and vote consistently, Mr. King used one part of that arsenal - the threat of a recall - when he convinced Mayor Marion Barry to abandon his support of a church group's plan to build 245 low-income apartments in their community.
