Mayor Marion Barry is meeting tonight with Fort Lincoln New Town residents threatening to launch a recall against him for secretly negotiating the sale of 15 acres of land in their community to some local ministers who want to use it to build 245 low-income apartments.
The mayor's decision to meet with the residents comes after he received word from an aide that he was vilified last week during a town meeting that he did not attend.
