The White House this week will release hundreds upon hundreds of confidential White House and Democratic National Committee fund-raising documents collected by former Deputy Chief of Staff Harold Ickes.
How to handle the papers' release, which could come today, has prompted weeks of spirited debate within the White House, increased tensions between President Clinton and his party, and sparked a three-way battle of wills involving Congress, the executive branch and the DNC.
But, according to sources who have seen them, the remaining documents - several dozen have been leaked - contain no major revelations and do not definitively answer two persistent ...
